THE BEST DAY IN BENTONVILLE
Best Time to Visit BENTONVILLE
The best time to visit Bentonville is either in late spring, when everything is coming alive and blooming, or in fall when the leaves are changing colors and falling. Summer is nice, but it can get a little hot depending when in the season you visit. If you do visit in early spring (March – April), keep an eye on the forecast as Arkansas is prone to tornadoes.

ACTIVITIES IN BENTONVILLE
Visit the Walmart Museum
The Walmart museum makes for a perfect quick stop where you can learn about the history of Walmart – but most importantly, it’s absolutely free.
Get Ice Cream at the Spark Cafe
When you’re done, stop at the Spark Cafe for a scoop of ice cream for only $1.29 or a Moonpie Palooza for under $5!
Pop into the shops
When we heard about Bentonville, we thought the whole town would be filled with Walmart-related activities, but that was not the case at all! Yes, you can and should visit the Walmart museum, but Downtown Bentonville has tons of cute cafes and shops to explore – record shops, jewelry shops, clothing boutiques – you name it!
Go Mountain Bike riding
Did you know Bentonville has tons of mountain biking trails? There’s also a few bike and bike repair shops if you need to rent or tune-up your bike before hitting the trails. Check out the trails by the Crystal Bridges Museum.
Visit the Crystal Bridges Museum
The Crystal Bridges Museum is a great museum because it combines an amazing outdoor area with American art – both modern and more classical. But the best part is that it’s FREE! Enjoy the art inside, then head outside and walk the grounds. We enjoyed the Art Trail, the Crystal Spring Trail, and Rock Ledge Trail. Each trail is under a mile (some only a quarter mile) and are relatively flat with some minor ups and downs. There are also plenty of mountain bike-friendly trails here!
See a Frank Lloyd Wright House
Interested in architecture? There’s a lot to explore on the grounds, but our top recommendation is the Frank Lloyd Wright house. You can tour a Frank Lloyd Wright house at the Crystal Bridges Museum. During busy times, you may need to reserve your slot ahead of time. You can do either a free guided audio tour, or join a guide-lead tour for $12/person.
Walk around Fayetteville
Take a quick walk in downtown Fayetteville and try to spot the cute gnome graffitis sprinkled throughout the city. If you’re craving something on the healthier side, Natural State Smoothies is just your place. It’s a quick drive from the downtown and they have a wide selection of acai bowls and smoothies.
